Dashboard for data exploration incl. statistical analysis
How we built the domain expert a tool that finally allowed him to look deep enough into his data to understand what he was doing right and what he was doing wrong and, as a result, objectively prove every decision he made.
1. starting position
- Thanks to ASTRUM IT, the customer already had a software solution that enabled it to collect data records centrally. These contain systematically recorded parameters for the customer's own brand products as well as for products from competitors.
- The volume of data had grown considerably in the meantime, resulting in a very rough classification scheme. New parameters/key performance indicators that describe the products became necessary in order to make decisions in product development. Products were to be classified on the basis of their membership of different groups.
- The process improvements achieved in the project made it clear that the previous category-based/static approach should be replaced by a dynamic classification of comparative products.
- Comparisons of various parameters became relevant in order to identify simple correlations, for example.
