Innovation HUB: From pushing the boundaries

We wouldn’t be ASTRUM IT – experts in software engineering – if we only told you about trends, drivers and talents at this point. Or about our ideas for using artificial intelligence and innovative technologies to shape the work of tomorrow.

We also see analogies to sport in research and innovation: new strengths are only created where you consciously set stimuli and then allow the muscles and mind to rest.

Reason enough for us at ASTRUM IT to create physical and mental spaces in which anything is possible. We are convinced that artificial intelligence is just one of many building blocks that can be used to drive technological progress. We generate knowledge through intensive research and new forms of education within our Innovation Hub. In this way, we consciously drive a wide variety of projects and also give new – as yet unconscious – things space to unfold; to become more tangible, more explainable.

It is often our young talents who turn a good idea into a ‘real cracker’. And thus your competitive advantage.

We do not have to. But we want to. We have already contributed with our skills to numerous research projects for the healthcare and medical engineering sectors. And in doing so, we have newly developed cutting-edge technologies for networking and the exchange of medical data together with our partners and supporters.

Overview of Our Research Projects

  • SUSTAINET-inNOvAte

    Ongoing project

High-performance communication networks are already essential for networking critical infrastructures. The SUSTAINET-inNOvAte research project is developing a secure, energy-efficient and fail-safe communication infrastructure for sustainable and resilient digital networks.

  • LLM-SE

    Ongoing project

Artificial intelligence (large language models) makes model-based systems engineering (MBSE) simpler, more efficient and more accessible - especially for Bavarian SMEs.

  • SPARC Monitor

    Ongoing project

Development of a novel analysis monitor for real-time monitoring of cerebral autoregulation and intracranial compliance in patients in the neurointensive care unit.

  • FORSocialRobots – Soziale Robotik

    Ongoing project

Robots are regarded as a future core technology in both the industrial and private sectors. In social robotics, which is characterised by the ability of social interaction with humans adapted to the situation, research is being conducted into intuitive and human-like communication. There are research approaches to the development of social robots for support in the home environment as well as in the care, industrial and retail context.

  • DeltaPro – Process Optimisation

    Ongoing project

Increasing product and process quality by analysing signal parameters in broadband networks for SMEs in real time.

  • ERIK – Biomechatronics software

    Completed project

Since 2018, the Federal Ministry of Research and Education has been funding the ERIK research project: the development of a robotic platform to support new interaction strategies for children with limited socio-emotional abilities.

  • CMLB – Condition-Monitoring-Systeme

    Completed Project

In the research project CMLB sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the framework of the small- and medium-sized enterprises KMU-innovativ program for product research, an innovative condition monitoring system for damage monitoring in swiveling large roller bearings has been developed.

  • Motion Analysis

    Completed Project

Together with partners from medicine, science, and industry, we are working on various research projects to make a significant contribution to the future of health.

  • eMediplan

    Completed Project

  • IT Networking of Healthcare Providers

    Completed Project
